A Winter Maymont Park Engagement Session
About a month ago, I met with Cori and Fraser for their Maymont Park engagement session on one of the warmest, nicest days we have had all winter. The light was gorgeous, we didn’t freeze, and it gave us plenty of time to relax and enjoy the company. (And man was it great company!) Maymont is seriously one of the most beautiful parks I’ve been to, with everything from various gardens, to gorgeous rock faces, to a pond with some of the most peaceful little places to relax. Fraser’s parents were married in this park, making this one sentimental session! Watching Fraser absolutely gush over Cori – talk about a strong, peaceful chemistry – was such a highlight of the time I spent with them during their Maymont Park engagement session. Fraser sang to Cori at one point during the session, and it made for some seriously beautiful dancing photos! (Also, super cool little note: Fraser designed Cori’s ring with Cori’s dad!)
How They Met: Fraser and I have known each other our whole lives. Our moms were neighbors and best friends growing up and have stayed very close; so, we were childhood friends. Our parents have both moved back to our mothers’ childhood homes and are neighbors again. We have been dating for 8.5 years and got engaged November 29th, 2017.
The Proposal: I told Fraser I wanted to be surprised, and he definitely pulled that off! He caught me completely off guard and proposed while I was getting ready!
The Perfect Date Night: A good meal and good conversation. We were long distance for 6 years of our relationship, so, any time spent actually together was cherished!
As A Couple: Cori – Fraser makes me feel at ease. He is very caring and supportive. I love his sense of humor and he is such a gentleman. (I can vouch for that, you guys!) Fraser – I love that Cori is smart and strong-willed. She keeps me laughing… and she has a pretty nice ass, too! 😉 (And that, you guys, is seriously the perfect example of how they are together! lol)
So why don’t we get to peeking in on this session!? I can’t wait until their wedding in June, which will take place at Cori’s childhood home. Just wait until you see all the rich jewel tones of this Maymont Park engagement session – winter was showing off that day!
