Tomorrow is a big day. Tomorrow brings chances for a fresh start and new stories to tell. For new beginnings. After spending a gorgeous evening with Matt and Meghan for their University of Virginia engagement session back in September, I cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings for them. Tomorrow at the University of Virginia Chapel and Colonnade Club in Charlottesville Matt and Meghan get a special new beginning and forever together. There’s something about their love that’s so tender that it’s breathtaking to watch. It’s a love full of respect and nourishment of the soul. The way they look at each other speaks profoundly of their excitement and the faith they have in God, each other, and the rest of their lives. Just wait until you see these pictures.
Meghan is a woman after my own nerdy, momma heart – she’s also an expecting momma (eeep!!! babies!!!) and personal trainer who’s taken her love for nutrition to the same program through which I received my Masters! (Go Huskies!) Matt is a gunnery sergeant that has served in the United States Marine Corps for nearly 20 years, and he and Meghan have endured and conquered the extended periods of time away from each other. Tomorrow, though, brings a whole new life to the two of them. Married and home for good. I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a better way to begin such an adventurous, fulfilling chapter of life. Meghan and Matt bring me a special kind of appreciation for what I do. They’re part of the sacrifices that are made for us every day – a family who spends time apart for the sake of others. There really is no way for me to explain how grateful I am for those who serve and those who say goodbye to the people they love. My own family has said it many times. I cannot wait to watch their life together unfold, from starting a family in a couple of months to watching them conquer new accomplishments, retirement, and life together. And it all begins…tomorrow.
