You guys, September can’t come soon enough. I met Lauren and Hunter for the first time at their Great Falls engagement session, and it was seriously such a blast that I’m over here counting down the days until their wedding day! Lucky for me, these two have sent friends my way and I get to spend some time up in the mountains with them in about a month! Eee!
So, a little story on these two loves. Lauren and Hunter met bumping into each other at work, and Hunter’s James Madison University sweatshirt sparked their first conversation. While the two of them had JMU in common, they hilariously had other things not in common. After a series of what they call “romantic” gym dates, they began dating, and Hunter told Lauren that he loved visiting new breweries, Star Wars, and that he owned a cat. Lauren hilariously had to respond she had never seen a Star Wars movie (nor had I when I met my husband), had never had a craft beer, and was allergic to cats! Since they had these differences, Hunter took care of that. He showed Lauren the local breweries, they binge-watched every Star Wars movie, and eventually found the cat a new home. A little side note here: my family is obsessed with Star Wars (and our youngest has married Luke Skywalker about a dozen times before she now so confidently tells everyone “no, Mom, we’ve been married for a long time now” and rolls her eyes). So, Lauren and I are always sharing little stories about our obsessed family members. A little over a year and a half later, Lauren had been sick for days. But, Hunter was determined to propose and convinced Lauren to get out for some fresh air and dinner. When they arrived at the trail, Hunter broke out the charm and hilariously “proposed” to Lauren by pulling out a set of red and blue ring pops. Red and blue ring pops. On May 4th. Hunter proceeded to ask her if she chose light side or dark side, because on May the Fourth, that’s how you ask. 😉 After leaving Lauren hanging for long enough, Hunter really proposed. Well, the fourth was with Hunter on that day, because on the W & OD trail, next to Old Ox Brewery, where they first said I love you, Lauren said yes. How did she know she said yes to the right guy? She saw their friends and Duck Donuts waiting for her inside the brewery. Oh, that Lauren…she loves her Duck Donuts. 😉
You guys, just wait until you see the last photos. This Great Falls engagement session got pretty epic. 😉
Lauren and Hunter, I cannot wait to spend more time with you guy! Herrick and I had a great time, and we can’t wait to see you in March for our next adventure together!
